Role Overview
The Research Associate-I (RA-I) will work under the supervision of Dr. Ashutosh Pandey (Scientist IV) as part of the Short-Term Research Fellowship programme. The role involves advanced research in plant sciences with a focus on genomics and molecular biology.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- OR
- M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with:
- Minimum 3 years of research experience
- At least one publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
- Compliance with DST guidelines
Desirable Qualifications
- Research experience in:
- Functional genomics
- Secondary metabolism
- Transcriptome analysis
- Strong publication record (preferably at least two first-author SCI papers with impact factor >3)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research in plant genomics and related areas
- Analyze experimental data and contribute to scientific publications
- Work collaboratively under project supervision
- Support ongoing research activities within the fellowship program
Important Conditions
- The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
- No claim for permanent employment at NIPGR
- Appointment may be extended or terminated based on performance
- One-month notice required for termination by either party
- Reservation norms applicable as per Government of India rules
