Key Responsibilities

This Microbiology Job involves the biochemical and physicochemical transformation of plant-derived materials into biofuels or biochemicals.

  • Pretreatment & Valorization: Implementing chemical or biological methods to break down the complex structure of lignocellulose to access fermentable sugars.
  • Lignin Evaluation: Analyzing various lignin variants to determine their potential for conversion into value-added aromatic compounds.
  • High-Pressure Reactors (HPRs): Designing and executing complex chemical reactions within high-pressure systems to test biomass conversion efficiency.
  • Analytical Characterization: Performing proximate analysis, determining ash content, and calculating High Heating Values (HHV) using standard analytical protocols.
  • Biomass Processing: Managing the mechanical processing, storage, and collection of feedstocks for detailed compositional analysis.
