Position & Project Details

  • Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Number of Positions: 01.
  • Project Title: “Integrated nanofiber dressings: optimizing epithelialization, angiogenesis, and antimicrobial activities for advanced wound healing”
  • PI: Dr. Shyam Lal M
  • Department: Animal Biology – School of Life Sciences
  • Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month + 27% HRA.
  • Tenure: Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 28 years (relaxations for OBC/SC/ST/others as per DBT norms).

Project Focus & Desirable Experience

The research focuses on developing advanced wound-healing dressings using functionalized nanofibers.

  • Core Focus: Optimization of epithelialization, angiogenesis, and antimicrobial properties.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of the synthesis and functionalization of nanoparticles.
  • Experience: Prior expertise in the field of nanobiotechnology is highly desirable for this role.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this Junior Research Fellow position:

  • Education: M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences with first-class marks.
  • National Level Exam: Valid GATE, CSIR-NET, or UGC-NET qualification is compulsory.
