California Burrito is a Mexican fast-casual restaurant chain with 100+ locations across India in Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai. We are also the owners of India’s first Hass avocado farm, with over 500 Hass avocado trees. The company was started in 2012 by three Americans and aims to reach 100 stores in the next two years. We are dedicated to offering honest, good food with transparent sourcing and high-quality ingredients.

Job Opening: Agronomist

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

About the job: Our company is growing rapidly, and we are looking for an energetic agronomist who can help farmers manage crop planting and implement efficient farming practices, improve crop efficiency, and identify market needs.

Ideal Candidate:

• Understanding of Agriculture

• Excellent communication

Roles/Responsibilities as Agronomist:

• Innovate planting, cultivation, and harvesting methodologies to enhance crop yield for contract farmers and in-house farming projects
• Engage in field visits for crop assessment and provide expert guidance to contract farmers
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of samples to detect and address nutritional deficiencies, diseases, and other anomalies
• Facilitate plant sourcing, testing, and selection processes
• Maintain meticulous records encompassing field data, customer interactions, crop assessments, and sample analyses
• Formulate precise planting schedules, irrigation plans, budgets, and timelines to optimize productivity

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of agronomy work experience
• Specialization in areas such as crop rotation, irrigation & drainage, plant breeding, soil science, weed control & disease & pest control
• Specialization in BSc Agriculture

Salary: Up to 5LPA depending on experience.
