Summary: As a Principal Scientist within the Preclinical Safety (PCS) Pathology Team at Novartis, you will be key in advancing translational safety omics data analysis to support drug discovery and development efforts. This position requires expertise in omics-based data science and a dedication to enhancing translational drug safety through innovative data analysis techniques.
About the Role
- Utilize machine learning and statistical methods for analysis of spatial transcriptomics and proteomics data
- Compare and contrast spatial omics data sets with other biological data
- Support projects in various scientific fields by providing data science expertise
- Drive innovation through the application of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Collaborate with stakeholders, providing insights through data analytics
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and scientific software to enhance data analysis
- Independently identify research articles and apply methodologies to solve business problems
Qualifications:
- M.S. or PhD in Data Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in programming languages and data science workflows
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing large biological datasets
- Strong collaborative and communication skills with the ability to work in an agile environment
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and molecular biology concepts
