Key Responsibilities
- Enable digital platforms that support data integration and curation.
- Develop and implement customized and semi-automated data curation workflows.
- Identify and evaluate new tools and technologies related to ontology generation, management, and usage.
- Manage cross-functional projects focused on data integration.
- Develop governance policies for ontology and terminology maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across R&D, IT, Data Science, CROs, and vendors.
- Support FAIR data implementation across research programs.
- Ensure high-quality and well-structured scientific data management processes.
Qualification
Master’s degree in biomedical life sciences (especially Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Biology) while having a Ph.D. is desirable.
Skills and Requirements
- Strong understanding of life science R&D processes with experience in the pharmaceutical or related life science industry.
- Expertise in ontology and terminology management, metadata standards, and data curation processes.
- Hands-on experience with ontology management and data governance tools, particularly TopBraid EDG.
- Knowledge of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles and their implementation.
- Experience in information analysis using controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, thesauri, and ontologies.
- Strong technical aptitude with an innovative and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary projects.
- Ability to handle confidential information, manage ambiguity, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
