Recruitment of Technical Associates

We are planning to hire two Technical Associates to be deployed at our client, Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, an R&D Centre under Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India located in Hyderabad as per the following qualifications & experience:

Technical Associate: 01 Post

Essential Qualification:

First class B.Sc. / B.Tech with three years’ experience OR Postgraduate in Science / Technology with one year experience OR PG Diploma in Science/Technology with one year experience.

Desirable Experience:

Hands-on-experience in Molecular biology techniques including nucleic acids manipulations, Sanger and Next generation sequencing, genotyping, application of statistical tools for genotypic and population analysis, and handling of bones, extracted body parts, crime scene samples, preserved specimens for nucleic acid profiling and genotyping.

Job Description:

Processing of blood samples, body parts, skeletal remains, preserved specimens, admixture samples, vaginal smears, saliva samples, semen stains and other biological evidence provided by the law enforcing agencies / collected from crime scenes for nucleic acid isolation, manipulation, genotyping, and analysis of the data. Establishing DNA-based population database for different Indian populations, writing DNA examination reports, deposition of evidence in the Court of Law, and interaction with law enforcement personnel.

Remuneration: Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 35,400/- per month + EPF depending on qualifications and experience.

Technical Associate: 01 Post

Desirable Experience:

Assist in Scientific and services Laboratories in CDFD as well as in facilities such as the Sophisticated Equipment Facility, the Experimental Animal Facility, the BSL-3, and Genomics Facility.

Remuneration: Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 35,400/- per month + EPF depending on qualifications and experience.
