Job Description
TYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: Postgraduate caliber or equivalent – preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Food Technology.
Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Systems in Food Processing, FMCG – Distillery, Brewery, or Beverage Industry.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, developing quality-related SOPs, and their control.
- Experience in handling quality improvement projects.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package.
Best Suited for Someone Who:
- Has excellent coaching, influencing, and communication skills.
- Possesses good communication and presentation skills.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
PERFORMANCE MEASURES (QUANTITATIVE/QUALITATIVE)
Areas of Responsibilities
Quality Operations
- End-of-line defects (PPM).
- L1 audit score.
- Liquid quality compliance.
- Adherence to quality standards.
Key Tasks:
- Analyze raw materials, intermediate blends, and EOL finished goods, and report findings to the unit head.
- Inspect packaging materials received at units and markets, and report to the unit head.
- Communicate with vendors on non-conformities and issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
- Ensure online QC during line startups or changeovers, from water treatment to final packing.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding rejection failures at the unit.
- Calibrate all lab equipment, prepare calibration plans, and manage operations as per supplier manuals.
- Maintain equipment as per supplier recommendations.
- Analyze samples for customer/consumer complaints and provide findings to the unit head.
- Provide expertise in standardizing chemical reagents and calibration required for the lab.
- Analyze non-conformities using tools and recommend Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
