Eligibility Conditions:

a) Educational Qualification:

Degree in Bachelor of Science from any recognised university with any one of the following subjects:

  1. Agriculture
  2. Botany
  3. Chemistry
  4. Computer Applications/Computer Science
  5. Engineering (Agriculture / Chemical / Civil / Computer / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical)
  6. Environmental Sciences
  7. Forestry
  8. Geology
  9. Horticulture
  10. Mathematics
  11. Physics
  12. Statistics
  13. Veterinary Science
  14. Zoology

b) Minimum Physical Measurement Required:

Computer Proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/ Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2016 and 2023 notified vide No. A.12034/1/2015-P&AR (GSW) dated 10.07.2019 and No. A.12018/31/2020-P&AR (GSW) dated 10.03.2023 respectively. (Details can be seen at MPSC website)

d) Working knowledge of Mizo language of at least Middle School standard.

Age Limit:

He/She must be aged between 18 and 35 years on the last date of application. Upper age limit relaxation will be as per Notification No.A-12011/1/2019-P&AR(GSW) dt.3.6.2019 (published in the Mizoram Gazette Extraordinary, Issue No. 375 dt.10.6.2019) as amended from time to time. For age proof, HSLC/HSSLC Certificates which clearly shows the candidate’s date of birth shall be accepted. In the absence of date of birth in such certificates, the relevant documents issued by the competent authority may be accepted.

Provided that for advertisement made during calendar years of 2023 and 2024, the
candidate must not have exceeded the age of 37 years on 1st August of the particular
calendar year.

Documentary support to prove all eligibility conditions should not be dated later than the last date of application.

Disqualification:

  1. Canvassing by a candidate directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate.
  2. Any candidate who, on verification at any stage of the recruitment process, does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, will be disqualified.

Answer: I understand that physical fitness is a critical aspect of the role of a Forest Ranger, and I plan to maintain my fitness levels by engaging in regular physical activities such as jogging, hiking, and other outdoor activities. I will also follow a healthy diet plan and take measures to reduce stress levels to maintain good health.

  1. How will you ensure that you have a working knowledge of the Mizo language as required by the role?

Answer: As someone who is committed to learning new languages, I plan to immerse myself in the local culture and language to improve my proficiency in Mizo. I will also take language classes, read Mizo language books and newspapers, and converse with locals to improve my fluency in the language.
