ENGAGEMENT OF HIGH PERFORMANCE ANALYST (Physiotherapists, Strength & Conditioning Experts, Physiologists, Psychologists, Biomechanics, Nutritionists&Biochemists)ON CONTRACT BASIS IN SAI NCOEs.
Sports Authority of India (SAI) is an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with its Head Quarters at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
SAI has established 23 National Centers of Excellence across the country for the training of young and elite athletes in various disciplines. These NCOEs are funded for several items inter-alia sports science staff through the Khelo India Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. To strengthen the NCOEs, SAI invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement as High-Performance Analyst (Physiotherapists, Strength & Conditioning Experts, Physiologists
, Psychologists, Biomechanics, Nutritionists, & Biochemists) on a contract basis at various SAI NCOEs. The employment is initially for 1 year, further extendable in a cycle of 1 year up to a maximum of 8 years on the basis of performance. Name of the Post – High Performance Analyst
No. of Posts – Physiologist (13), Nutritionist (13) and Biochemist (02)
Consolidated Monthly Remuneration – Rs 1,05,000/-
Total no of vacancies are 138 [58 (UR), 37 (OBC), 20 (SC), 10 (ST), 13 (EWS)]
ANY SCIENTIFIC STAFF CURRENTLY WORKING WITH SAI ON A CONTRACT BASIS SHALL APPLY AFRESH.
Nature of Duties
- Provision of comprehensive sports science support to multidisciplinary individual & team
sports. - Formulate the annual testing plan for the relevant disciplines. Carry out the biannual Khelo India Protocol assessment& uploading the data on the NSRS portal. Training the team for execution of testing.
- Attend the training at FOP&Briefing of testing protocol to Coaches & Athletes. Follow
split duty timings as per the requirement of Coaches/Administration. - Manage the Athlete Monitoring System (AMS/ NSRS) and guide the process for optimal
utilization. - Interpretation of testing data for further discussion with the Coaches/ Director NCSSR/ Head of Sport Science/High-Performance Director.
- Management of resources& lab of the relevant discipline.
- Management and upgradation of the equipment in the relevant discipline.
- Contribution to applied research for the relevant discipline.
- Any other duties assigned by Director NCSSR, High-performance Director, Head of Sports Science, Regional Head and/or Director General, SAI.
Eligibility criteria
Physiologist (13)
Essential Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in Medical/ Human/ Sports and Exercise Physiology/ Life Science/ Biological Sciences/ or equivalent from any recognized University/
Institution.
Nutritionist (13)
Essential Qualification – Bachelors’ Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics/Food Science & Nutrition /or equivalent from any recognized University/ Institution
Biochemist (2)
Essential Qualification – Bachelors’ Degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry with Biochemistry /or equivalent from any recognized University/Institution.
Essential Experience –
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field
OR - 3 years of experience with Master’s in a relevant field
OR - Ph. D in relevant field.
Desirable Qualification – Masters’ or higher Degree in a relevant field from any recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable Experience – 1-year experience in the field of sports science/ medicine.
Note:
- Bachelor’s degree means a minimum of 3 years of an undergraduate academic degree or equivalent from any recognized university / Institution after passing 10+2 from a recognized Education Board.
- A master’s degree means 2 years of a post-graduate academic degree from any recognized university/Institution after passing a minimum of 3 years of bachelor’s degree.
- Ph. D means 3 years of research degree from any recognized university/ Institution after passing 2 years of master’s degree.
Selection Procedure
A. Online applications are invited from candidates, who fulfil the essential eligibility criteria as mentioned above on a contract basis.
B. In the event of a large number of applications, SAI will adopt the following shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interviews.
C. Criteria for shortlisting of candidates who fulfil the essential qualification for interview.
THE CANDIDATE SHOULD MENTION ALL HER/HIS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE RELEVANT FIELD OVER AND ABOVE THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.
CANDIDATES WILL BE SHORT-LISTED FOR INTERVIEW ONLY ON THE BASIS OF THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THEM IN THEIR ONLINE APPLICATIONS DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED IN SUPPORT OF THE CLAIM MADE IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION.
CANDIDATES MUST ENSURE THAT SUCH INFORMATION IS TRUE. IF AT ANY SUBSEQUENT STAGE OR AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW ANY INFORMATION WAS GIVEN BY THEM OR ANY CLAIM MADE BY THEM IN THEIR ONLINE, APPLICATIONS IS FOUND TO BE FALSE, THEIR CANDIDATURE WILL BE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED.
NOTE I: The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview.
D. A merit list for the interview will be prepared based on the above criteria, and the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in a ratio of 1:5.

(ii) Closing date for submission of online application- upto6 PM on 05.09.2022
The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of the online application. The applicants are advised to fill in all their particulars in the online application carefully as submission of wrong information may lead to rejection.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
a) WHO CAN APPLY:
Online applications are invited from candidates who fulfil the minimum essential qualification criteria as mentioned above. All applicants must fulfil the essential requirement as stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
b) HOW TO APPLY:

II. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
III. The applicant must possess a valid and functional email id.
IV. The e-mail ID entered in the form should remain active until the recruitment process
is completed. No change in the e-mail ID will be entertained.
V. Candidates must apply within the scheduled time period given in “Application
Schedule” above, no application received after the last date shall be entertained.
VI. Candidates must upload the documents/certificates in support of all the claims made
by them in the application.
VII. Checklist of documents required, these may be kept ready for filling the online application form
i. Application form with recent passport size photograph
ii. Proof of Date of Birth– Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or mark sheet of Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of claim of age. Where the date of birth is not available in certificate/mark sheets, issued by concerned Educational Boards, School leaving certificate indicating Date of Birth.
iii. Proof of identity– Aadhar card/Passport/ Voter ID.
iv. Category certificate-(OBS/SC/ST/EWS)- Cast certificate by candidate seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC/EWS from the competent authority indicating clearly the candidate’s Caste, the Act/Order under which the Caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC/EWS and the village/town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of.

viii. Work Experience Document: Documents claiming work experience must clearly mention the following:
• Name of the establishment/Organization/ Department.
• Signature of competent authority/issuing authority clearly stating their position of authority and nature of work and duties performed in the organization.
• Duration of employment/work experience (Date, Month & Year).
• The field in which the candidate has worked or the post held in the establishment.
ix. Last pay drawn document: Candidates must have their monthly remuneration document from their place of work experience.

NOTE:

c) CALL LETTERS FOR INTERVIEW: The Call Letters for the interview shall be communicated electronically in the valid and functional email id provided by the candidate/ uploaded on the SAI website.

• UPDATES AND NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE POSTED ON THE SAI WEBSITE.
d) The responsibility of ensuring the genuineness of the certificate lies completely with the candidate by self-attestation. SAI reserves the right to discard experience certificates which do not provide correct details as asked above. Website links could be provided to ascertain genuineness.
e) Any experience claimed during the course of completion of the degree will not be counted. Any experience which is not relevant to the above discipline /fields will not be counted.
f) The Candidates should note that their candidature at all the stages will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any stage before or after the Interview, it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions; their candidature will be cancelled by the SAI.
NOTE: SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRODUCE THE ORIGINALS OF THE CERTIFICATES MENTIONED ABOVE AT THE TIME OF JOINING. FAILURE TO SUBMIT THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATES IN ORIGINAL AT THE TIME OF PHYSICAL JOINING WILL LEAD TO THE CANCELLATION OF CANDIDATURE.
