Duration – Initially for 1 year (extendable subject to the performance and availability of
funds). The selected candidate will need to join the project immediately. Note: JRF may get PhD admission if he/she fulfils the admission criteria of IIT Mandi.

Fellowship – 25,000-31000/- depending on qualification and experience as per SERB
guidelines.
Job profile – The student will perform R&D in the areas of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, Computational Biology, metabolites profiling and Bioprocessing.
Eligibility – M.Sc./B. Tech or equivalent degree with 60% marks in Life Sciences/
Computational Biology/ Biotechnology or relevant subject area.
Selection criteria –
Desirable –
- Knowledge and experience in both computational biology and experimental
biology and those who have qualified GATE/NET/or other equivalent national level exam or have post-graduate degree in engineering will be preferred. - Excellent communication skills, Ability to work both independently and as part of
a multidisciplinary team, Willingness to learn new techniques. - IIT Mandi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing eligible
candidates from those satisfying the advertised qualification and requirement of
the project post.
