Project Title: “Study of shifting cultivation and associated environmental problems in Meghalaya: physicochemical and geospatial approach”

Duration: 3 (Three) years or till the conclusion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Age limit: Applicant shall not be more than 28 years old as of the last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit might be relaxed according to the Government of India Rules.

Shortlisted applicants may appear before the selection committee with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certification (if applicable), experience certification (if any kind of), certificates of
NET/GATE or similar examination qualifications, any other testimonials, passport size photo, no-objection certification (if applicable) and a copy of recently signed curriculum vitae (CV) on the day of the interview.

N.B.

1. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview.
2. Those in employment or doing PhD has to submit ‘No Objection Certification’ from the concerned employer / PhD Supervisor.
3. Candidates appearing for the interview should fill up the application in the prescribed form enclosed as Annexure-I.

Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Botany and also allied sciences from a recognized institute with minimal 60% marks or equal CGPA in aggregate having NET-(LS/JRF)/ GATE qualification.

Desirable: Candidate having experience in air pollution monitoring, environmental monitoring, laboratory experience in wet labs and also handling of Remote Sensing and also GIS will certainly be favoured.

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and also 2nd year and Rs. 35,000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand only) plus HRA as admissible monthly for the third year.
