Position: Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project: “Conservation and sustainable use of Nardostachys grandiflora DC.
[Valerianaceae] an endangered medicinal plant of Sikkim Himalayas”.
Principal Investigator: Dr Manju Rana
Pay: NET/GATE: For the initial two years Rs. 31, 000/- per month as JRF and in third year Rs. 34,000/- per month as SRF with HRA at 10 percent.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Plant Science [ideally Botany/Horticulture] with 55 percent from UGC recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: NET/GATE with experience in Ecological study & Tissue culture
How to Apply:
The post is totally short-term and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the said post is for 6 months, which will be further extended on the basis of the performance of the applicant approximately 3 years or up to the termination of the project
whichever is early.The applicant with adequate certifications and appropriate experience in pertinent subject/specialization with good academic records might appear for Walk-In-Interview on 19.11.2019 [Tuesday], 10:30 AM onwards at Department of Horticulture, Sikkim University, 6th Mile, Tadong, Gangtok.
