DELHI STATE CANCER INSTITUTE (DSCI) is a chain of autonomous, dedicated cancer care institutions under the Government of NCT of Delhi established under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. These institutions are coming up fast to provide comprehensive and integrated facilities for treatment of cancer with latest technology and equipments with motto of “providing care as per convenience of the patients”. For this purpose, the Institutes have established ultra-modern infrastructure and installed latest, ‘state-of-the-art’ equipments in imaging, laboratory, clinical oncology, surgical oncology including robotic surgery, ICU sections, Nuclear Imaging facilities including PET-CT and SPECT with 100-bedded indoor facilities at present. Expansion of OPD and Indoor facilities, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cancer Research Setups are in the pipeline. DSCI currently has two setups in East & West Delhi and is likely to add more such facilities in other areas of Delhi in due course. The staff recruited by the Institute is liable to be posted at any of the set ups of DSCI.

aims and to expand its services further for the patients, the Institute is looking for some young as well as experienced, dynamic and dedicated professionals with upright credentials in different fields, who have the capability to contribute in their respective fields as a challenge and who can work as a cohesive team towards growth of the Institute. Para Medical Posts (S. No. : 23 – 55)

Position 1

POST : SENIOR DIETARY EXECUTIVE/ DIETICIAN

No of Post : 02 (UR)

Pay Scale : Rs 15,600 – 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400/-

Age limit for direct recruits (in years) : Upto 45 years, relaxable as per rules

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits : Desirable: MSc (Food & Nutrition) or PG course in Hotel Management

Experience :

i) 05 years experience of working in a large, reputed multi-speciality hospital with kitchen service.
ii) Managing duty schedules of various dietary staff for ensuring smooth and continuous functioning of patient care services

Period of probation (if any) : 1 year


Position 2

POST : SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST* (PATH/LM)

No of Post : 06 (UR-4, OBC-1, DA-1)

Pay Scale : Rs 9,300 – 34,800 + GP Rs 4,200/-

PATHOLOGY/LAB MEDICINE

Age limit for direct recruits (in years) : Upto 40 years, relaxable as per rules

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits : BSc (Biotechnology)/ BSc (Science) with two years experience of working in clinical Labs in a hospital

Desirable:

i) Experience of QA Procedure in Lab equipments.
ii) Higher qualification like MSc, PhD, Management Course, Computer Applications etc

Experience :

i). For BSc degree holders: Minimum 5 years experience after essential qualifications in the operation and use of various latest and automated equipments pertaining to Pathology including Cytology, Haematology, Immunology, Genetics and related Lab/ research equipments in a reputed institution or laboratory set up.

OR For Diploma holders: Minimum 6 years experience as above.

ii) Experience of maintenance, calibration, QA of various Laboratory Equipments.

iii) Experience for maintaining NABL/ NABH or equivalent national/ international norms for Lab Procedures.

Position 3

POST : TECHNOLOGIST* (PATH/LM)

PATHOLOGY/LAB MEDICINE

Age limit for direct recruits (in years) : Upto 35 years, relaxable as per rules

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits : BSc (Biotechnology)/ BSc (Science) with two years experience of working in clinical Labs in a hospital

Desirable:

i) M.Sc. (MLT) or equivalent from a recognised institution/ university;
ii) PhD in related field

Experience : For Diploma holders: Minimum 1 years experience after essential qualifications in the operation and use of various latest and automated equipments pertaining to Pathology including Cytology, Haematology, Immunology, Genetics and related Lab/ research equipments in a reputed institution or laboratory set up.

Position 1

POST : PROFESSOR – Cancer Research

Pay Scale :Rs 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs 10,500/-

Age limit for direct recruits (in years) : Upto 55 years, relaxable as per rules

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits :

i) MSc in Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Genetics, Bioinformatics or related disciplines from a recognised University; i

ii) PhD in Life Sciences focussing on molecular level research in any of the above disciplines

Desirable:

Training or qualification in Translational Cancer Research and lab procedures like cell culture, cytogenetics, RTPCR, Flow Cytometry, HPLC, LCMS, Next Gene Sequencer, Drug Assays, in vivo animal experiments, Gene/Vaccine therapy Ne,w Drug Development, etc

Experience : 1. At least 13 years of professional, teaching or research experience in Translational Cancer Research at a dedicated institution of repute after obtaining essential, recognised post-graduate/ postdoctorate qualification

2. At least 8 research publications in indexed, peer reviewed journals

Whether age & educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promotees :  No

Method of recruitment – whether by direct recruitment, by promotion or by transfer, and the percentage of vacancies to be filled by each of these methods : 100% through direct recruitment failing which by deputation

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits :

Note:

1) All posts shall be CONTRACT POSTS for FIVE YEARS – May be renewed for the next
term at the end of five years.
2) Age and experience etc can be relaxed at the discretion of the Selection Board/Governing
Council of DSCI for the candidates otherwise well qualified and well conversant with their field.
3) Opportunity for fast track promotion to the next higher level shall be available for outstanding performance at the end of three years.

(7) Higher start in salary in the given pay scale or appointment to a higher level post could be considered for outstanding candidates having longer &/or special
experience and found exceptionally well-qualified and eligible for the higher pay/post by the Selection Committee of the Institute.
(8) Pay Scales as mentioned above are likely to be revised soon as per the prevailing Pay Scales of AIIMS

METHOD OF SELECTION:

(1) The Institute reserves the right to shortlist the eligible candidates for various categories on the basis of the qualification/experience documents submitted by them.
(2) The candidates shortlisted at the first level MAY have to undergo a written test for further short listing.
(3) Candidates for faculty and senior administrative posts may be asked to make power point presentation about their profile and about their vision in their respective fields.
(4) Final selection may be based upon the personal interview of the candidates before a duly constituted Selection Committee of the Institute.
(5) Candidates for ministerial posts shall have to appear in Typing Test and they must attain a speed of >40 wpm with >90% accuracy.
(6) Candidates not willing to contribute to the growth of the Institute, those not having leadership qualities or those not willing to accept the challenge NEED NOT APPLY.
(7) The decision of the Institute regarding selection of the candidates shall be final and binding.
(8) Dispute, if any, shall be restricted to and within the jurisdiction of Delhi/New Delhi ONLY.
