An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 22 June 2016 at 12.30 P.M. at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of one (1) Project Assistant on purely temporary basis to world in the project titled ‘Effects of nitrogen fertilizer on stalk yield and bioethanol in Sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) crop at different locations of West Bengal’ in the Agricultural & Ecological Research Unit, Kolkata of the Institute.
Essential : M.Sc. in Botany Agriculture/Botany/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Micro-biology/Chemistry/Life Science from a: recognized University/Institute with consistently good academic record.
Desirable : Working experience with field work, data analysis with statistical tools, chemical analysis in general and fermentation process in particular.
Pay : Rs.9,000/- per month plus HRA as per the Institute rules.
Tenure of appointment : The tenure of appointment upto 31 March 2017 from the date of joining.
Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2016 with usual relaxation for SC/ST /CBC/Women/Different disabled candidates .

They should also bring the original copies of the certificates for verification. Candidates will have to report at the Office of the Agricultural & Ecological Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T.
