Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the premier universities in India, is positioned in the North-western part of Pune city. It occupies an area of about 411 acres. Minimum qualifications:
Ph.D with specialization in Bioinformatics/ Mathematical Biology/ Computational Biology/ Systems Biology with a minimum of 55% marks in M.Sc. (50% for candidates who belong to reserved category) or equivalent grade. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis and are waiting for award of Ph.D thesis are also eligible.

M.Sc Bioinformatics with 2 years research experience in the areas mentioned above with a minimum
of 55% marks in M.Sc. (50% for candidates who belong to reserved category) or equivalent grade and atleast one publication in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.Preference will be given to B.I.N.C/ JRF/ NET/ SET qualified candidates.
Total emoluments: Consolidated Rs 20,000/- (including HRA per month)
Tenure: Initially for a period upto 31st March 2017, this may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and the continuation of the said program.
