Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and service manual liquid handling devices at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently.
- Perform pipette maintenance, repairs, and calibration as per standards.
- Promote service contracts, calibration packages, and repair services.
- Coordinate payment collection with internal teams.
- Prepare service proposals and deliver customer presentations.
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication.
- Collaborate with the Branch Sales Manager to identify business opportunities.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Achieve productivity, service quality, and territory performance targets.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and practical service experience will also be considered.
Experience Required
- 2–4 years of experience in field service, technical support, or laboratory equipment servicing.
- Experience working with pipettes or manual liquid handling devices is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of precision instruments.
- Experience with measurement and calibration tools following standard testing protocols.
Skills Needed
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of pipette calibration and laboratory equipment servicing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Good planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
- Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Service Coordination, and Management.
- Business-oriented mindset with an understanding of service revenue and customer retention.
- Willingness to learn new products, calibration standards, and service processes.
