Job Details
ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI) invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the post of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the All India Network Program on Genome Editing Technology for Improvement in Livestock Health and Production (AINP-GETILHP). The appointment is purely temporary/short-term and initially for one year, extendable as per project requirements or until project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine bacteriology and viral laboratory techniques.
- Carry out molecular biology experiments, including PCR and genome extraction.
- Assist in genome editing-related research activities.
- Support vaccine and diagnostics-related research work.
- Participate in project activities under AINP-GETILHP.
- Maintain laboratory records and assist the research team.
Qualifications
Essential Qualification
- Post Graduate in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or equivalent)
- OR
- Graduate Degree in Agriculture Science/Technology, including all Agriculture & Allied Sciences, Animal Science, and Veterinary Science.
Desirable Qualification
- Working experience in routine bacteriology and viral techniques.
- Experience in Molecular Biology (PCR and genome extraction).
- Special reference or experience in Genome Editing.
- Experience in vaccine and diagnostics research.
