- Project Title: “Scientific Advisory and Technical Consultancy for the Development of a Sustainable Green belt on the Central Verge of Delhi Metro”
- Funding Agency: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) under MoU dated 21.04.2026
- Tenure: 06 months initially (Extendable based on performance & project requirements)
- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years (Relaxation as per GOI/ICAR rules)

Core Job Responsibilities
- Surveys: Perform extensive field surveys and collection of baseline vegetation data along the specified DMRC metro corridor layout.
- Mapping: Execute GIS mapping and landscape documentation of the median area below the viaduct.
- Documentation: Draft comprehensive technical progress reports and maintain all experimental records.
- Liaison: Direct day-to-day coordination with DMRC officials and project supervisors for smooth site clearance and operations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualifications: Degree: B.Sc. in Horticulture, Agriculture, or B.Sc. in Botany / Forestry / Life Sciences from a recognized university.
- Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Field Work: Practical experience in conducting vegetation field surveys and plant data collection.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of GIS Mapping tools, Google Earth Pro, and data digitization.
- Reporting: Proficiency in preparing technical reports, project documentation, and handling MS Office.
Emoluments
Consolidated ₹30,000/- per month (Fixed, No HRA allowed as per ICAR norms)

- Nature of Post: The post is purely temporary, contractual, and co-terminus with the project. Non-maintenance of discipline and failure to perform the assigned duties will make the YP-I liable for termination during the appointment period as per ICAR rules.
- The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents and medical fitness certificates at the time of joining.
- No Claim: The selected candidate will have no right or claim for regular appointment/absorption at ICAR-IARI/DMRC.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining, if selected.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
- All the terms & conditions will be followed as per the revised guidelines of ICAR from time to time.
- All legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of New Delhi.
- The Director, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, reserves the right to cancel/withdraw the above position and retains the right to not select any candidate/scrap any of the positions even after the Interview.
