Established in 1889, the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is one of the premier research institutions dedicated to livestock research and development of the region. The institute with faculty strength of more than 275 has a major mandate of research, teaching, consultancy and technology transfer activities.
The institute’s research is currently addressed with clear benchmarking of deliverables through 89 research and 28 service projects. The institute undertake basic, advanced and applied research through 98 externally funded projects. A number of national and international research projects on animal health and production systems are addressed by the institute. Presently 5 National Agricultural Innovation Projects,6 NASF Projects 6 All India Network Projects, 3 Outreach Program, 2 Consortia projects , 39 DBT funded projects and 19 Other funded projects are operational. Besides these extramural funded programmes the institute is having 5 international collaborative projects with USA, UK, IAEA, etc.

- Position Title: Research Associate I Position in DBT-BBSRC Project
- Qualification: Ph.D in Microbiology/Biochemistry or M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biochemsitry with 3 years or more Research experience
- Emoluments: Rs. 36,000/-per month + 20% HRA
- Age: 40 Years for Men and 45 years for women. The age relaxation for the category candidate will be given as per Govt. rules
Position II
- Position Title: Research Associate I Position in AINP-BT
- Qualification: Ph.D in Microbiology/Biochemistry or M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biochemsitry with 3 years or more Research experience
- Emoluments: Rs. 38,000/-per month + 20% HRA
- Age: 40 Years for Men and 45 years for women. The age relaxation for the category candidate will be given as per Govt. rules
Position III
- Position Title: BSL.M Assistant I Position CDDL Scheme CADRAD
- Qualification: B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Biochemistry
- Emoluments: Rs. 8000/-
- Age: 18-30 years
Terms and Conditions:
- The posts are temporary or purely contactual basis till be termination of the project.
- PI reserves the right to cancel / postpone the interview and terminate the contract due to unsatisfactory performance without assigning any reason, even before completion of the tenure or project for which nonappeal therefore shall be made.
- No objection and experience certificate from the current employer in case she/he is in employment.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the aforesaid interview.
- Candidates’ attending the interview must bring complete bio-data in original, thesis dissertation, reprint of published papers and attested photocopies of all educational certificates, mark sheets, degree and testimonials and two passpost size photographs.
- No separate call letter for interview shall be issued.
