  • Position Title: Project Associate (PA)-II
  • No. of Posts: One (01) position
  • Project Title: “Discovery of a protein kinase moonlighting to promote de novo nucleosome assembly and its implication in chromatin organization”
  • Funded By: ANRF-ARG
  • PI: Dr. Smarajit Polley, Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences.
  • Duration: The project is tenable up to 18-March-2029 and the position is coterminous with the project.
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates only, as per govt. rule)

Qualification

  • Essential: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent and two years experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
  • Desirable Qualification: Familiar with recombinant DNA technology, protein expression and purification, basic UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy techniques.

Monthly Emoluments

  • Rs. 42,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
  • Rs.33,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
