Key Responsibilities
- Work on the DBT-funded research project involving gut microbiome, metabolome, and immune profiling.
- Perform genetic and molecular biology techniques.
- Handle Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques and high-throughput sequencing platforms.
- Analyse microbiome and metabolome datasets.
- Utilise programming languages for research data analysis.
- Manage multiple datasets efficiently.
- Assist in manuscript writing and research documentation.
- Perform project-related activities as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess either:
- Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science,
- OR
- Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET, including Assistant Professorship and GATE).
- Selection through National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of research experience.
Skills Needed
- Hands-on experience in genetic and molecular techniques.
- Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
- Experience handling high-throughput sequencing platforms.
- Capability to handle microbiome and metabolome data.
- Knowledge and proficiency in programming languages.
- Ability to work on multiple datasets simultaneously.
- Good manuscript writing skills.
- Computer literacy.
Salary
- ₹42,000 per month + 27% HRA
- As per DBT norms.
