Job Description
The selected candidate will work as a Project Fellow under a funded gastric cancer research project at NISER. The role involves supporting laboratory-based biomedical research, contributing to the testing and optimisation of new experimental techniques, and assisting in data-driven analysis related to cancer biomarker discovery. The fellow will maintain laboratory records, manage experimental data, and participate in collaborative research activities. As part of this Govt Life Sciences Fellowship, the candidate may also be required to collect biological samples from local hospitals and ensure proper documentation and reporting of findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a Project Fellow under the funded research project
- Contribute to test or optimise new techniques
- Maintain lab records, experimental data, and laboratory materials
- Analyse experimental data using statistical software and produce reports

Eligibility Criteria
- Education: M.Sc. (minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, or other equivalent streams in Biosciences
- Age Limit: 28 years as on 17 July 2026 (Age relaxation applicable as per Government rules)
- Desirable: Qualifying in any National-level examinations is desirable
