Job Description
This role involves leading analytical and characterization strategies for late-stage clinical and commercial biologics programs. The selected candidate will develop, optimize, validate, and transfer analytical methods supporting product development, regulatory submissions, and commercial manufacturing. Responsibilities include overseeing in-process analytical methods, lot release assays, biophysical characterization techniques, and mass spectrometry-based methods. The position requires close collaboration with Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC), Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing teams to ensure analytical compliance with global regulatory and quality standards. This Life Science Research Job also includes mentoring analytical scientists, driving method robustness, and supporting regulatory interactions including INDs and BLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytical and characterization strategy for late-stage clinical and commercial biologics programs.
- Design, develop, optimize, and qualify analytical methods including in-process analytics and lot release assays.
- Oversee biophysical characterization and MS-based analytical methods.
- Define analytical study plans for cell line, bioprocess, and formulation development.
- Support analytical method transfer, validation, and lifecycle management.
- Author or review CMC sections for INDs, BLAs, and other regulatory dossiers.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and conduct root cause analysis.
- Mentor and develop analytical scientists while ensuring compliance with ICH and USP guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Experience: Extensive experience in biologics development, including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and fusion biologics.
