Main Responsibilities

The Scientific Writer will support the development and management of HEVA communication deliverables and processes across relevant business units and product teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create HEVA communication deliverables including:
    • Manuscripts
    • Posters
    • Abstracts
    • Slide decks
  • Align communication deliverables with HEVA strategy and global HEVA communication plans.
  • Manage core HEVA communication processes, templates, and products across the portfolio.
  • Ensure Core Value Decks for key products are established and maintained with regularly updated HEVA evidence.
  • Maintain accountability for adherence to publication Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other compliance requirements relevant to HEVA communication.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate HEVA value communications to improve the relevance and impact of HEVA evidence and support access and reimbursement decisions.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic area expertise.
  • Manage the end-to-end publication process through iEnvision (previously Datavision/Matrix).
  • Collaborate with HEVA, Real-World Evidence (RWE), and Scientific Communication teams at global and local levels.

People Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective relationships with Medical and scientific stakeholders within the allocated Global Business Unit (GBU) and product teams.
  • Develop educational and communication content for HEVA communications based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Interact effectively with healthcare professionals regarding publication content.
  • Assist peer writers by sharing knowledge and supporting learning initiatives.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Develop HEVA communication deliverables including:
    • Manuscripts
    • Posters
    • Abstracts
    • Slide decks
  • Ensure deliverables are aligned with HEVA strategy, global communication plans, agreed timelines, and quality standards.

Process Responsibilities

The Scientific Writer will:

  • Develop complex publication materials.
  • Act as a scientific communication expert within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Assist scientific communication teams in conducting comprehensive publication-needs analyses.
  • Manage HEVA communication processes, templates, and portfolio products aligned with:
    • Core Value Dossier
    • US AMCP Dossier
    • HEVA contributions to other submissions, where appropriate.
  • Ensure Core Value Decks for key products are established and regularly updated.
  • Maintain compliance with publication SOPs and HEVA communication standards.
  • Implement elements of the annual publication plan for the assigned region.
  • Work with selected vendors to deliver required communication materials according to defined processes.
  • Design action plans based on end-user feedback to improve communication content and delivery.

Stakeholder Responsibilities

  • Work closely with:
    • HEVA global teams
    • HEVA local teams
    • RWE global teams
    • RWE local teams
    • Scientific Communication teams
  • Identify publication needs and assist in developing assigned deliverables.
  • Liaise with Medical and HEVA teams to prepare customized scientific communication materials.

Experience

More than 2 years of experience in content creation within:

  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Healthcare industry
  • Academia

Technical Skills

Candidates should have relevant training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Health Economics
  • Public Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Other relevant health-related scientific disciplines

Knowledge or experience in:

  • Therapeutic area or domain expertise
  • Good Publication Practice
  • Publication submission
  • Project management

Soft Skills

Candidates should possess:

  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess an advanced degree in Life Sciences

Language Requirement

Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
