About the Project
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-I under the DBT-funded project titled:
“National Network Project of JNU, New Delhi”
The position is based at the School of Computational & Integrative Sciences (SCIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The selected candidate will contribute to research activities involving computational biology and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
- Master’s degree in:
- Life Sciences
- Molecular Biology
- Biotechnology
- Bioinformatics
- Related disciplines
Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong academic record with relevant research experience.
- Good computational biology skills.
- Proven experience in various applications of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Fellowship / Emoluments
Fellowship and emoluments will be provided as sanctioned under the project and in accordance with DBT guidelines and regulations.
Appointment Terms
- The appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The initial appointment may be for six months or as recommended by the Selection Committee.
- The tenure may be extended or curtailed based on performance evaluation and project requirements.
- Unsatisfactory performance may result in termination of the appointment without prior notice.
