About the Role
The Executive – HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) will be responsible for conducting food safety audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, supporting quality management initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across vendor kitchens and client sites.
The role will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager to execute food safety and quality audits, manage corrective actions, investigate food incidents, and support the implementation of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Compliance Management
- Conduct food safety audits in accordance with FSSAI requirements.
- Execute monthly audits, including:
- Catering Audits
- Base Kitchen Audits
- Live Kitchen Audits
- Customized Compliance Audits
- Submit audit reports within two working days of audit completion.
- Track and follow up on closure of non-conformities (NCs) identified during internal and external audits.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are effectively implemented.
- Support preparation and coordination for external audits.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance
- Implement and monitor Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) across vendor kitchens.
- Conduct routine inspections and daily food safety checks.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning standards.
- Maintain food safety and quality documentation and records.
- Monitor food safety hazards and implement controls to minimize risks.
- Support delivery of safe, hygienic, and compliant food services to clients.
Incident Management & Investigation
- Investigate food safety incidents and customer complaints.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigation audits.
- Document findings with supporting evidence.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective action implementation.
Training & Stakeholder Management
- Conduct training sessions as per the approved Training Calendar.
- Prepare monthly training reports and update training trackers.
- Coordinate with existing and prospective clients on HSEQ-related matters and compliance requirements.
- Support mobilization of new client sites by ensuring all HSE and quality processes are implemented effectively.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives aimed at reducing customer complaints and improving food safety performance.
- Ensure vendor kitchens consistently meet food safety and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of compliance, food safety awareness, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:
- Food Science and Technology
- Microbiology
- Related Food Science Disciplines
Preferred Certifications
- Candidates with the following certifications will be preferred:
- Lead Auditor Certification in:
- ISO 22000
- FSSC 22000
- Certified Internal Auditor in:
- ISO 22000
- HACCP
- FoSTaC
- Lead Auditor Certification in:
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, Food Safety and Standards Act (FSS Act), and related compliance requirements.
