About the Project
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA) under the ANRF-funded research project titled:
“Understanding the Role of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-2 on Survival Advantage of Leishmania donovani in Host Macrophages”
The selected candidate will contribute to advanced research focused on host-pathogen interactions and molecular mechanisms underlying Leishmania donovani survival in macrophages. The project is expected to continue for up to three years.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Biological Sciences.
Essential Experience
Candidates must possess:
- Extensive research experience in Leishmania–macrophage interactions.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques.
- Significant expertise in animal handling and experimental infection models related to Leishmania research.
- Strong background in molecular and cell biology techniques, particularly those related to gene expression studies.
- Relevant research publications demonstrating expertise in the field.
Desirable Qualification
- At least one research publication in a related area of study.
Fellowship / Emoluments
Salary will be provided as per ANRF norms and approval, along with House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the role of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-2 in host-pathogen interactions.
- Design and execute molecular biology, cell biology, and infection biology experiments.
- Maintain laboratory records and analyze experimental data.
- Contribute to scientific publications, project reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and project team to achieve research objectives.
