About the Project
The Junior Research Fellow will work on the research project “Identification of the genomic region and establishment of the physiological role of tissue tolerance during reproductive stage salt stress in rice: Taking cues from nature” (EAP-477). The project focuses on understanding the genetic and physiological mechanisms underlying salt stress tolerance in rice, contributing to crop improvement and climate-resilient agriculture.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
Candidates must possess:
- A Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences, OR
- A Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course
and must have been selected through one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship)
- GATE
- National-level examinations conducted by organizations such as:
- DST
- DBT
- DAE
- DOS
- DRDO
- MoE
- ICAR
- ICMR
- IITs
- IISc
- IISERs
- NISER, etc.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct research related to salt stress tolerance in rice.

- Maintain research records and contribute to project reports and publications.
- Support project objectives aimed at improving stress resilience in rice.
