CSIR-IIIM Research & Training / Internship Programme (Summer Call 2026)
CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) invites online applications from prospective candidates across Biological, Chemical, and Agricultural Sciences for its Research & Training / Internship Programme (Summer Session 2026). This programme provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in a premier scientific institution under expert mentorship.
Programme Overview
Selected trainees will work under the supervision of CSIR-IIIM Scientists or Technical Officers. Each trainee will be assigned a specific research project and will be required to:
- Conduct research work during the training period
- Submit a project report upon completion of the internship
Mode of Training
- Mentorship-based training under CSIR-IIIM faculty
- Project-based research work
- Mandatory submission of final project report
Eligibility Criteria
The programme is open to students currently pursuing the following:
- Postgraduate Programmes: M.Sc. students (currently enrolled)
- Undergraduate / Professional Programmes: B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Honors – 4-year programme) (Only 3rd or 4th year students are eligible)
- Integrated Programmes: Integrated B.Tech–M.Tech, B.Sc.–M.Sc., (Candidates must be in 3rd year or above)
Not Eligible: Students pursuing 3-year B.Sc. programmes, Ph.D. scholars
Selection Criteria
Selection of candidates will be based on:
- Representation from across the country
- Preference to students from:
- Public-funded universities/institutes
- Institutions having MoU with CSIR-IIIM Jammu
- Academic performance in:
- Class 12
- Graduation
- Ongoing semester results
Intake Capacity
Approximately 50–60 trainees will be selected for the summer session. Final intake depends on availability of laboratory space.

Accommodation & Financial Support
No stipend or financial assistance will be provided. Selected candidates must self-finance their stay. Accommodation may be provided to outstation students (priority to female candidates), subject to availability.
Accommodation Details
- Limited seats: 6–10 trainees (shared basis)
- Allotment: First-come, first-served
- Charges: Nominal license fee + electricity charges (as per CSIR norms)
- Remaining candidates must arrange their own accommodation in Jammu/Srinagar
