The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (BRIC-inStem), Bangalore, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams addressing questions beyond the scope of a single laboratory.
BRIC-inStem invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following contractual scientific position in the laboratory of Dr. Diya Binoy Joseph.
The institute seeks dedicated professionals with a background in cellular and molecular biology along with basic computational and statistical skills. Candidates with experience in mouse handling and mammalian cell culture will be given preference, though this is not mandatory. Applicants possessing strong foundational knowledge in cellular and molecular biology and a willingness to learn on the job will also be considered.

The selected individual will perform basic molecular biology, cell biology, and histological analysis. Responsibilities include mammalian cell culture, animal handling, immunostaining, image analysis, and computational analysis. Project Associates are expected to contribute to ongoing laboratory projects, test and optimize new techniques, and maintain records of data and laboratory materials. |
Tenure
The appointment is purely contractual for 11 months, renewable based on project requirements and review of performance/progress.
