Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Senior Research Fellow under the following research project funded by the DBT Project.
Project Title
Investigation of hypoxia-mediated association between CTCF, G4, and chromatin structure with their impact on alternative splicing events that promote breast cancer progression.

Key Responsibilities
- Work as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences.
- Participate in research related to hypoxia-mediated association between CTCF, G4, chromatin structure, and alternative splicing events involved in breast cancer progression.
- Conduct research work in epigenetics, RNA biology, cancer biology, and NGS data analysis.
- Perform molecular biology and RNA-related experimental work.
- Assist in chromatin biology and statistical computing-related analysis.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have an M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related subjects.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of research experience in epigenetics/RNA biology/Cancer biology/NGS data analysis or related fields.
Experience
- Experience in molecular biology techniques is desirable.
- Candidates with experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in R programming for statistical computing, RNA work, and chromatin biology will be preferred.
Skills Needed
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
- Understanding of RNA biology and chromatin biology.
- NGS data analysis expertise.
- Statistical computing using R programming.
Salary Details
- Salary: Rs. 42,000/- per month.
- In the absence of residential accommodation, HRA @ 18% shall be admissible.
Duration
- One year (extendable up to 2 years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds).
Age Limit
- The maximum age is 35 years for general candidates at the time of application.
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and persons with physical disability.
