About the Institute
ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun is a premier research institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) dedicated to scientific research and development related to mithun and livestock resources. Available Positions
1. Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) Under National One Health Mission (NOHM) Project
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA
- Essential Qualification: Masters in Biotechnology of Life Sciences, including integrated PG degrees, with three years post qualification experience OR Ph.D in Biotechnology or Life Sciences
- Desirable:
- At least two years of research experience on animal health or One Health
- Experience of working on epidemiological studies related to animal/zoonotic parasites/microbes
- Work experience in molecular or serology-based assays for pathogen detection
- Sound knowledge in computers including statistical analysis of data
- Age: Maximum 40 yrs (relaxation as per rule)
2. Project Technical Support-III Under National One Health Mission (NOHM) Project
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA
- Essential Qualification: Bachelors degree in Life Sciences + three years post qualification experience OR Masters in Life Sciences
- Desirable:
- Experience of working with animals
- Computer skill is mandatory
- Age: Maximum 35 yrs (relaxation as per rule)
3. YP-II under FMD Network Project
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 42,000/-
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Science/Zoology/Biotechnology/Microbiology or equivalent
- Desirable:
- Experience in handling large animals, blood collection, able to travel in remote places
- Candidates having experiences in microbiology, serological tests, molecular biology and biotechnology related laboratory techniques shall be preferred
4. YP-II Under ICAR-NRCM Porba
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 42,000/-
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Animal Science
- Desirable: Minimum two years working experience handling of large animals
5. YP-II Under NICRA Project at KVK Phek, Porba, Phek district
- Consolidated Pay: Rs. 42,000/-
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Science
- Desirable:
- Two years working experience in the field
- Candidates having working experience in data analysis, interpretation of experimental data, and handling of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, NTSYS, or other relevant statistical packages will be preferred
