Eligibility Criteria
- Officers of Central/State Government or Union territory Administrations or autonomous organizations.
- Holding an analogous post or with at least two years of service in the pay level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400).
- Essential: Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bacteriology or related fields.
- Experience: Four years in drugs testing, standardization, and research.
- Desirable: Doctorate in a related field (above mentioned).
Method of Recruitment
50% by Promotion failing which by Deputation.

- The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not
exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
