Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect cotton leaf samples from selected field locations.
  • Perform DNA extraction from collected samples.
  • Analyze extracted DNA spectral images through PCR results.
  • Work on visualization and identification of genetic markers, DNA markers, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Develop and train AI models for spectral/gel image interpretation.
  • Perform automatic gene identification and data analysis.
  • Deploy a field-deployable prototype for rapid and affordable Cry gene detection.

AgriHub: Innovation Hub for Agriculture (AI/ML & Deep Learning Center of Excellence), Indian Institute of Technology Indore.

Fellowship Duration

18 Months or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications

  • B.Tech/M.Tech. in the field of Computer Science / AI / Computational Biology with NET/GATE qualification.
  • The candidate should not be more than 30 years.
  • 60% Marks or equivalent CGPA in UG or PG degree.

Experience

  • Candidates with knowledge in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology will be preferred.
  • Experience in AI-based biological data analysis and molecular diagnostics research is desirable.
