  • Position: Project Associate (Sanger Sequencing)
  • Number of Posts: 1 No
  • Age Limit: 35 years as of 01.01.2026 (subject to relaxation as per GoI norms)
  • Essential Qualification: M. Sc. / M. Tech in Life Sciences discipline from a recognized University / Institute with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate.
  • Desirable Experience: 2 years of experience in handling high-throughput Sanger Sequencing platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing sample arrangement sheet (SAS) for high-throughput Sanger sequencing PCR followed by sequencing cleanup.
  • Sanger sequencing results troubleshooting.
  • General upkeep and day-to-day maintenance of Sanger Sequencing platform.
  • Human cell line authentication and Genotyping using SSR/STR and data analysis.
  • Updating the existing lab SOPs to increase the day-to-day operational efficiency of Sanger Sequencing Facility.
  • Maintaining the records of QC, stock inventory and availability of primers.
  • Training the researchers of BLiSc and outside on need-by-need basis.
  • Other selected activities required from time to time.
