- Position Title: Project Associate-I
- No. of Positions: Two Positions
- Project Title: Development of synthetic biology-based biomanufacturing platform for terpenoids using the glandular trichomes of Nicotiana tabacum
- Upper Age Limit: 35 yrs
Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Plant Science or equivalent degree in these subjects.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in the tools and techniques of Plant molecular biology, plant genetic transformation, Plant tissue culture
Stipend
- i) ₹31,000/- + HRA For those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. Lecturership/Assistant Professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/ Institutions. OR
- ii) ₹25,000/- + HRA (as applicable) For those who do not fall under above.

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions
- The engagement will initially be for a period of One Year or until the project duration, whichever is earlier.
- The Offer of Engagement to the selected candidate(s) shall be issued only after the receipt of the funds under the project.
- The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project and shall not exceed six years.
- The position(s) are purely temporary and do not confer any right for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
- Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi during the interview.
- Relaxation in age limit will be as per Govt. of India Rules.
- Original documents will be verified upon selection, and discrepancies will lead to cancellation of selection.
- The number of positions may change based on project requirements at the time of the interview.
- The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not fill any or all advertised positions.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate from the positions.
- Current project staff at CSIR-IIIM need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for new vacancies.
