Project Title
“Functional Dissection of Host Protein Import by Plasmodium for non-metabolic purposes.”

Role Overview
The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will work on a DBT-funded project focusing on host-pathogen interactions involving Plasmodium. The role involves laboratory-based research in molecular and cellular biology with emphasis on protein import mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in molecular biology, cell biology, and protein biochemistry
- Perform experiments related to host-pathogen interactions
- Work with cell culture systems (adherent and suspension)
- Utilize microscopy techniques for experimental analysis
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and documentation
- Follow laboratory research practices and safety guidelines
Educational Qualification
- First-class Postgraduate degree in any branch of Life Sciences
- Must have qualified one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET
- DBT-BET
- GATE
- Equivalent national-level examination
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, or protein biochemistry
- Familiarity with research methodologies and laboratory practices
- Experience with cell culture and microscopy techniques
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in handling infectious materials

Emoluments
₹37,000 per month + 18% HRA
