Key Accountabilities
- Pharmacovigilance & ICSR Processing: Handle Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), including data entry, literature review, ADR documentation, MedDRA coding, validation, and follow-ups while ensuring accuracy and compliance for biomedical sciences job roles.
- Safety Submissions & Compliance: Monitor and submit safety reports to regulatory authorities, maintain submission timelines, prepare documentation (EDMS/eTMF), and support audits and inspections.
- Literature Review & Signal Detection: Conduct literature searches, screen scientific data for adverse drug reactions and safety signals, perform quality checks, and update databases and search strategies relevant for those seeking jobs in biomedical sciences.
- Regulatory Support & Collaboration: Support regulatory submissions and intelligence activities, manage product safety data, coordinate with global affiliates, and ensure adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
Education:
Master’s in Life Sciences / Health / Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.) or equivalent. A relevant master’s degree is often required to secure jobs in biomedical sciences at top organizations.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage
- Basic understanding of healthcare terminology
- Ability to learn ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements
