Job Opening: Research Scientist – Molecular Biology
About the job:
PI Industries is looking for a highly motivated Research Scientist to drive impactful research and development. This role involves designing and executing scientific experiments, interpreting results, and delivering valuable insights to enhance PI’s business.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to research work focused on developing genetically engineered fungal strains for production of enzymes/proteins/peptides
- Perform lab scale experiments as per project timelines and objectives
- Support the Team Leader / Group Leader in the Molecular Biology function’s daily operations
- Drive innovation and enhance team performance
- Conduct literature search using available tools
- Ensure security of intellectual property for R&D
- Design/generate genetically engineered microbes
- Prepare technical reports and document research results
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Participate actively in technical and functional meetings
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in laboratory maintenance
- Pay attention to details in experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation
Educational Qualifications
Ph.D./M.Sc./M.Tech. in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Metabolic Engineering/Biotechnology from a reputed University with excellent academic credentials and peer-reviewed papers/patents.
Required Experience
- Knowledge of fungal strain engineering
- Experience in industry/academia as a good experimentalist
- Worked with Biotechnology, Biopharma organizations
