Job Title: Scientist/Assistant Scientist (Botany)
Location: Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India
Job Description
The Scientist/Assistant Scientist (Botany) will conduct research in plant sciences, including physiology, taxonomy, identification, ecology, and applied botany. Responsibilities include experimental design, data analysis, publication of research findings, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in agriculture, herbal medicine, or environmental sciences.
Qualification & Experience
- PhD/MSc in Botany
- Specialization in Plant Taxonomy preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (Fresh PhD candidates considered)
- Proficiency in plant identification and classification techniques
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct research on plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, and ecological interactions
- Design and execute experiments in plant sciences
- Analyze plant samples using various techniques
- Contribute to projects in sustainable agriculture, plant breeding, and conservation
- Assist in the development of herbal formulations and plant-based applications
- Publish research findings and present at conferences
- Collaborate with institutions, industries, and government bodies
- Supervise junior researchers and staff
- Stay updated with advancements in plant science
