How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our microbiology laboratory team as a Junior Microbiology Technician
. The Junior Microbiology Technician will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting microbiological tests, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.Why you might be excited about us

What will you get to do?
- Perform routine microbiological tests and procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory staff, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, and samples for analysis, ensuring accuracy, sterility, and proper labeling.
- Inoculate and streak bacterial cultures, perform biochemical tests, and conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing using manual and automated methods.
- Monitor and interpret test results, identifying microbial pathogens and reporting findings accurately and promptly.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including autoclaves, incubators, microscopes, and pipettes, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of microbial cultures, including sub-culturing, storage, and disposal.
- Record and document experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Experience in ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is required.

Skills we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting, preferably in clinical microbiology, food microbiology, or environmental microbiology.
- Basic knowledge of microbiological techniques, procedures, and instrumentation, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing microbiological tests and recording data.
- Willingness to work in shifts, as required.
