JRF position under DBT funded project
Applications are invited from highly motivated students for the position of one JRF in the Department of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DBT-sponsored research project titled “Transcriptional regulation of human Telomerase (hTERT) by chromatin remodeling protein SMAR1” (Reference No. BT/PR30192/BRB/10/1915/2020).
Principal Investigator: Prof. Samit Chattopadhyay, BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, and Prof. Subhrangsu Chatterjee, Bose Institute, Kolkata
Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. Angshuman Sarkar, Department of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa
Broad area of Research: Gene regulation, Chromatin Biology
Duration of the project: Two years
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 31,000/- + 8% HRA (if applicable)
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining.
Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences or any related subjects.
- The candidate should be qualified in any of the National level Entrance Tests (conducted by either GATE/CSIR-UGC-JRF/CSIR-LS/ICMR/DBT).
