Collaborative Scientific Research Programme (CSRP)

CEFIPRA provides funding support to high-quality academic collaboration between India and France through research projects in the areas of fundamental and applied science to nurture scientific competency.

FOCUSED AREAS FOR COLLABORATION UNDER THE PROGRAMME (THEMATIC CALL):

Health:

Sub areas:

i) One Health & Climate Change
ii) Early detection of emerging/important pathogens
iii) Developments of new vaccines and therapeutics for infectious diseases
iv) AI for early diagnosis of emerging/important diseases
v) Comprehensive studies on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases
vi) Novel therapeutics and biologicals for emerging/important diseases

Marine Sciences:

  • Sub areas: Underwater Systems, Instrumentation & Robotics, Advanced Materials for Floating and Mobile Systems, Geosciences from the Coast to Deep Waters, Physics and Biochemistry of Oceans, Ocean Observations & Modeling including the Ocean & Climate Nexus, Ocean & Climate, and Marine Biology & Pollution.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Principal Collaborators and Joint Collaborators (Indian & French) should have a permanent position in an Indian or French University/R&D Institution.
  • They should meet national-level eligibility criteria concerning the operation of grants and age of retirement.
  • ORCID/Researcher ID is mandatory for submission of a proposal under the programme.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  • Collaborators must submit a joint full proposal through the online submission system: www.cefipraonline.in

FUNDING SUPPORT (Euro 220,000 max. per project)

  • Manpower: JRF/SRF/RA/Project Assistant for the Indian side
  • PhD/Post-Doc/Masters for the French side
  • Recurring expenses: Consumables, Local travel, Contingencies
  • International Travel (For both PI, Co-PIs, students, etc.)
  • Equipment (only for Indian Collaborators – up to 10% of the proposed budget)
  • Total budget of the project should be within Euros 220,000
  • Overhead for participating institutes as per CEFIPRA norms
