Name of the Position: Senior Research Fellow (Project)

Duration: Six months (6 Months)

Name of the Project:

“Establishment of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Centre at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi with the theme of ‘Structural Bioinformatics & Genome Mining (Applications in Biomedical Sciences)” funded by DBT

Educational Qualifications:

M.Sc. (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology) or Master’s degree in any other stream of biological/physical/computational sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or Equivalent AND a minimum of 3 years of research experience. Must have qualified any National Level Examination i.e. NET-JRF.

Desirable:

Work experience in the area of Bioinformatics/IT/Computer Applications. Strong computer programming skills (in PERL/Python or C++ or object-oriented database management systems like MySQL etc. or scripting languages under LINUX/UNIX environment) and sufficient experience in computational analysis of biological/biochemical data. Publications in the area of bioinformatics & Computational biology are highly desirable. The candidates must highlight their experience in programming and database development in their CV.

Job Description:

Planning & execution of programming, simulations, and data analysis work relevant to the project, analysis of results & interactions with collaborating laboratories.

Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
