Job Title: Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate
Job Location: Bengaluru

Job Grade: 9-I/II

Core Purpose of the Role:
You will be part of dedicated multi-disciplinary drug discovery and development center set up for a leading global pharmaceutical company that allows high-performing employees to make an impact and contribute to the growth of this collaboration between Syngene and this client. You will be working along with experienced professionals in contributing towards generation of primary data and curating accurate and insightful information in exciting and fast-paced areas of antibody discovery and engineering.
Role Accountabilities
Duties will include, but not be limited to,
- Design and execute molecular cloning strategies for gene of interest with minimal hand holding.
- Design primers for different cloning strategies like infusion, restriction digestion, SDM etc.
- Analyze sequences on sequence analysis applications like sequencher, genieous.
- Functional/Biophysical characterization using a battery on biochemical techniques like ELISA and Octet.
- Cell sorting by Flow cytometry
- Cell line analysis by FACS technique
- Analyze sequences on sequence analysis applications like sequencher, genieous
- Make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical discretion in the design and execution of experiments.
- Maintaining the highest expertise in each protocol for compliance, standard operating procedures and applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Presenting results with interpretation in internal meetings.
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate should have a Masters in life sciences (or related field) with 2-3 years of experience in antibody discovery and development with the following skill set.
- Ability to address challenging technical problems independently and creatively.
- Experience in display technology (phage/yeast) will be an added advantage.
- Strong background and experience, molecular biology techniques such as cloning, primer design, SDM etc.
