Recruitment for the post of “Senior Project Associate” under the DMNCT-funded project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to promote high-quality science education and research in the country.
The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on a contract basis:
Name of the post: Senior Project Associate
Name of the project: Eastern Ghats Biodiversity – outreach & capacity building
Description: This project aims to build capacity among local citizens regarding the biodiversity around them. It involves structured citizen science efforts to establish baselines on biodiversity in the Tirupati region.

Minimum Qualifications:
Essential:
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences.
- Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and Services.
Desirable:
- Experience conducting nature education work.
- Ability to supervise people collecting data on biodiversity across various taxa (e.g. birds, butterflies, moths, plants).
- Experience handling data and supervising data collection in an Atlas framework.
- Experience supervising report and publication writing.
Fellowship: INR 42,000/- + 8% HRA
Age: Not more than 40 years on the closing date of the advertisement.
No. of post: One (1)
Tenure: The position is temporary for one year and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum of two years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
