SENIOR SCIENTIST II – PR&D

LOCATION INDIA – MUMBAI

Job Description

• Develop formulations to meet the requirements of new ideas, within the scope of product claims and consumer preference, in compliance with regulatory requirements and at agreed product cost.
• Support the technical development of products from prototype to commercial scale manufacture in a cross-functional team.
• Plan and execute experimental designs to optimize the nutrient, microbiological, organoleptic, and physical quality of new and/or improved products while adhering to relevant internal and external constraints. Share and consider follow-up to observations.
• Interact regularly with cross-functional business teams including Marketing, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Regulatory, and Legal. May lead or support project Technical Team meetings.
• Design, develop, and implement specifications for ingredient, process, and product.
• Interpret test results and develop conclusions and action plans.
• Develop formulations to meet the requirements of new ideas, within the scope of product claims and consumer preference in compliance with regulatory requirements and at agreed product cost.
• Lead the technical development of products from prototype to commercial scale manufacture in a cross-functional team.

EDUCATION LEVEL: Graduate or Post Graduate: Food or Dairy Science/Technology/ Engineering

• Product development and launch.
• Brand and Consumer understanding.
• Manufacturing and scale-up.
• Design formulations.
• Project management in Stage Gate process.
• Effective presentation and organizational skills.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Maintains Knowledge base of product cadence in the market.
• Ability to problem solve, work in teams, lead others toward defined objectives, and present complex data clearly are also critical.
• Able to work independently and meticulously.
• Adaptable and have the ability to work under a wide variety of conditions.
