Notice for Empanelment of Teachers (PGTs & TGTs) on Contract Basis in JNVs of Bhopal Region for the Session 2024-25

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (residential co-educational school system under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) invites applications from eligible candidates for empanelment and engagement of services for PGTs/TGTs on a contract basis for the academic session 2024-25 in JNVs operating in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and

Odisha. Applications must be submitted online on or before 26.04.2024. Given the residential nature of JNVs, it is mandatory for teachers to reside on the Vidyalaya campus to fulfill residential school duties in addition to teaching.

Upper Age Limit

• Upper age limit for all categories of teachers is 50 years as of 1st July 2024.
• For Ex-NVS teachers, the maximum age limit will be 65 years as of 1st July 2024.

General Instructions:

1. Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the posts mentioned before applying.

3. Use a correct and working email ID and mobile number.
4. Only one application can be submitted for one post using an email ID.
5. Ensure information provided is accurate; false or misleading information will lead to rejection of the candidature.
6. A copy of the filled application form will be sent to the candidate’s email (Check spam, promotion, etc. folders).
7. Eligible candidates will be called for document verification and personal interaction in physical mode only (not online). Further information will be published on the NVS RO Bhopal website.
8. Candidates will be called for document verification and personal talks in different venues (States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, & Odisha) based on the subject, with the call letter sent via email from the Principal of the respective Venue JNV.
9. Candidates must bring a printed and self-attested copy of the application form at the time of document verification.
10. Regularly check the NVS RO Bhopal website and respective Venue JNV for updates.
11. Candidates should bring self-attested photocopies of all required documents and mark sheets of each semester/year of degree/post-graduation/diploma/experience certificates/awards/NCC certificates, etc. along with originals to the document verification venue.
12. State-wise merit lists will be prepared for posting against available vacancies in the respective states.
13. Candidates must bring any government-issued ID proof with its photocopy at the time of document verification.
14. The cut-off date for determining eligibility is 01st July 2024.
15. Personal interaction for all subjects shall be conducted at the following venues:
    • For Madhya Pradesh State: JNV, Ratibad, Distt. Bhopal for PGT-Hindi/English/Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology and TGT-Hindi/English/Maths/Science/TGT-Art & Vocational Teacher.
    • For Madhya Pradesh State: JNV, Shyampur, Distt. Sehore for PGT-History/Geography/Economics/Commerce/Computer Science and TGT-Social Study/TGT-Computer Science/PET (Male & Female).
    • For Chhattisgarh State: JNV, Mana Camp, Distt. Raipur (C.G.) for all subjects except PGT-History/Commerce/PET-Male & Female/TGT-Music/TGT-Art/TGT-3rd Lang. & Vocational Teacher.
    • For Odisha State: JNV, Mundali, Distt. Cuttack (Odisha) for all subjects except PGT-History/Commerce/PET-Male & Female/TGT-Art/Librarian & Vocational Teacher.
16. The interviews for the region’s posts will be conducted in the single selection center as the number of vacancies is minimal:
    • i) Interviews for the posts of PGT (History), PGT (Commerce), PET-Male & Female will be held at JNV, Sehore (M.P.).
    • ii) Interviews for the posts of TGT-Art & Vocational Teacher will be held at JNV, Bhopal (M.P.).
    • iii) Interviews for the posts of TGT-Music & TGT-Oriya will be held at JNV, Cuttack (Odisha).
    • iv) Interviews for the post of Librarian will be held at JNV, Raipur (C.G.).

• Candidates should be shortlisted for personal interaction at a 1:5 ratio (five times against anticipated vacancies), except for TGT (Computer Science). For TGT (C.S.), candidates will be shortlisted for personal interaction at a 1:3 ratio (three times against anticipated vacancies) after considering allotment of marks for educational and other qualifications.
• NVS reserves the right to modify the place of personal interaction for subjects notified, if required.

Guidelines for Engagement of Teachers on Contract Basis for the Year 2024-25

Scheme of Engagement

A panel of teachers of different categories will be formed based on the following criteria: Candidates’ essential academic qualifications, Higher qualifications in the relevant field, Achievements or awards, Work experience in the relevant subject in recognized schools, Personal interaction

Qualification

Educational Qualification:

(a) Two Year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT or any other NCTE recognized university/institute, in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

(b) Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subject.

Post Masters Degree in the Subject:

(i) PGT (English): English

(ii) PGT (Hindi): Hindi

(iii) PGT (Physics): Physics/Applied Physics/Electronics Physics/Nuclear Physics

(iv) PGT (Chemistry): Chemistry/Bio. Chemistry

(v) PGT (Maths): Mathematics/Applied Mathematics

(vi) PGT (Economics): Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics

(vii) PGT (Biology): Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/Genetics/Microbiology/Bio Technology/Molecular Biology/Plant Physiology, provided that the applicant has studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.

Essential: Teaching experience in similar capacity in a recognized school.

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a residential school.
• Knowledge of computer application.
• Knowledge of regional languages.
