Advertisement: Engagement of Young Professional (06 posts) in Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi on contract basis.
A. Department of Science and Technology intends to engage the services of 06 Young Professionals as per the details below:

Essential:
- B. E./B. Tech, or
- M.Sc. with Natural Sciences/Life Sciences
Desirable: Post Graduation in Engineering or Ph.D. in Natural Sciences/Life Sciences.
Job Profile:
- Scrutiny of application for VAIBHAV Fellowship.
- Maintenance of project files.
- Collecting relevant documents and interaction and correspondence with Indian Diaspora abroad, as per need.
- Preparing agenda papers sessions/meetings.
- Database management, data capturing and presentations.
- Assist Head (IC) in preparation of performance and progress reports on fellowship scheme for perusal of senior officers and Hon’ble MOS.
- Replies of various queries related implementation of fellowship scheme.
- Preparation of evaluation reports and achievements under the scheme etc.
Experience: Minimum 03 years in scientific field.
Age: Not more than 35 years as on the closing date of the Advertisement.
B. Remuneration and Other Allowances:
Young Professionals will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.60,000/- respectively. No other allowance such as TA, DA, HRA, Medical etc. will be admissible. However, in the case of Young Professional-I (Scientific) and Young Professional (Financial Accounting), TA/DA may be allowed for the field visits recommended by the Head of the Division as per the entitlement for non-officials.C. Terms of Engagement:
Terms and Conditions
i. The Young Professionals, upon accepting the offer of engagement, shall enter into a contract, including a confidentiality clause, with the Department of Science & Technology, delineating the terms and conditions of engagement, before commencing any work.
ii. The tenure of Young Professionals I, II, and III will initially be for one year from the date of engagement, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The maximum period of engagement shall not exceed five years. Either party may terminate the tenure by providing one month’s notice.
iii. The tenure of Young Professional-I (Scientific) and Young Professional (Financial Accounting) will initially be for six months from the date of engagement, extendable up to 2 years based on performance or co-terminus with the VAIBHAV Programme, whichever occurs earlier. Either party may terminate the tenure by providing one month’s notice.
iv. Any breach of contract by the Young Professionals with the Department shall constitute sufficient grounds for terminating the engagement under the Contract. Such breach may also disqualify the Young Professionals from future engagement by the Department.
v. The Department of Science & Technology or its representative reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons.
vi. Young Professionals shall be entitled to 18 days of leave in a calendar year on a pro-rata basis. Unutilized leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward to the next year. The Department reserves the right to terminate services in case of absence exceeding 15 days beyond the entitled leave in a calendar year.
Mode of Selection: Applications received in response to the advertisement will be scrutinized, and shortlisted applicants will be called for a personal interaction and document verification with original documents. Based on qualifications, experiences, and the outcome of personal interaction, candidates will be selected.

This online portal will be accessible for 45 days from the date of advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. Applications submitted through any other mode will be summarily rejected.
Note: In case of any discrepancy between the English and Hindi versions of the advertisement, the English version shall prevail.
